What inspired you to write Barney and Barry, The Hitchhikers?
This book was initially a screenplay, pilot for an animated TV series. After reading it, my sister thought it would make a great children’s story so I decided to adapt it into book form.
Give us an interesting fun fact about your book:
The idea came to me when a friend of mine showed me a turtle shell with 2 barnacles attached to the area where the turtles head would be, one on each side. I started thinking “What if those barnacles could talk and what if the turtle had to listen to them…all the time and forever.”
What types of readers will enjoy this book?
The script was written as a family movie so although the book is for targeted for children, the adults really like it, too.
Where can we buy it?
